So It’s Been Awhile….

When I first started this blog, I had envisioned that at the absolute worst case, I’d post an update monthly. Never did I imagine that I would have a huge 10-month gap in between posts! I now realize that a monthly farm update is quite ambitious, so not only do I apologize for the long break, but also for the inevitable future delays.

So, what have I been up to? Quite a bit actually. This first year of flower farming exceeded all of the expectations that I had going in. We launched a CSA bouquet program and a Business Subscription program. We also provided DIY Flower buckets and seasonal arrangements to members of the community. I had the opportunity to experiment and grow in my design skills, as well as learn what flowers I enjoyed growing vs. which ones were a bit of a disappointment. It was a year of learning and huge growth and I can’t wait to get started again, which is fortunate because the 2023 season has already begun (more on that later). I plan to write subsequent posts giving my review of certain crops and varieties, but until then, here are a few things that we sent out the door.
